4 Free GLP-1 Tools: Check Eligibility, Project Your Weight Loss, and Master Your Shot Days

LifeOnGLP now has four free interactive tools: an eligibility calculator, a new 12-month weight loss projection calculator, a medication quiz, and the Shot Day Companion for your weekly injection cycle. No account needed.

LifeOnGLP now has four free interactive tools that cover the whole GLP-1 journey: an eligibility calculator that tells you in 60 seconds whether you meet the FDA criteria, a brand-new weight loss projection calculator that charts your likely 12-month curve, a medication-matching quiz, and a Shot Day Companion that guides you through every day of your weekly injection cycle. All of them are free, work on your phone, and require no account or email.

Here’s what each one does, when to use it, and how they fit together — whether you’re still researching or already twelve weeks in.

1. Start here: do you even qualify?

The most common question we get is also the first one that matters: “Would a doctor actually prescribe this to me?” The GLP-1 Eligibility Calculator answers it using the same criteria clinicians use — a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27+ with at least one weight-related condition like type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, or heart disease.

Enter your height, weight, and any conditions, and you get your BMI on a visual scale, a plain-English verdict, the specific medications you may be eligible for, and — if you qualify — telehealth providers matched to your situation. If your BMI is below the prescribing range, the calculator tells you that honestly instead of pushing you toward medication.

2. New: project your 12-month weight loss curve

Eligibility is a yes/no question. The next question is harder: “What would this actually do for me?” That’s what the new Weight Loss Projection Calculator is for.

Pick your medication — Wegovy, Zepbound, Mounjaro, Ozempic, Saxenda, or compounded semaglutide — enter your current weight, and it draws your projected month-by-month curve for the next year, built from the average trajectories in the major clinical trials (the STEP program for semaglutide, SURMOUNT for tirzepatide). Tirzepatide averages around 21% body weight loss in a year; Wegovy about 15%; Ozempic at diabetes doses around 12%.

Two things make this more useful than a single number. First, the chart shows a typical range band, not just an average line — because real results vary widely, and any tool that pretends otherwise is selling you something. Second, you can share or download your projection as an image card, which is handy for accountability, a group chat, or just your own day-one record.

One honest caveat, which is printed on the tool itself: projections are statistical averages from trials, not predictions. Your dose escalation, side-effect tolerance, protein intake, and training all shift the curve — usually more than the choice between two similar medications does.

3. Not sure which medication? Take the quiz

If you qualify for several medications, the Which GLP-1 Is Right for Me? quiz narrows it down. It weighs the things that actually decide this in practice — whether you have insurance coverage, whether you have type 2 diabetes (which changes which medications insurers will cover), your budget if you’re paying cash, and how you feel about weekly versus daily injections.

4. New: a companion for every shot day

The first three tools are for before you start. The Shot Day Companion is for everyone already on a weekly GLP-1 — and it fills a gap nobody talks about: these medications work in a weekly rhythm, and your side effects, hunger, and energy follow it.

Tell it which day you inject, and it shows you where you are in your cycle every time you open it — when nausea typically peaks, when appetite suppression is strongest, when it fades before your next dose, and what to eat on each of those days. Many users notice “day 2–3 are rough, day 6–7 I’m hungry again” without realizing it’s a pattern; seeing it mapped makes the whole experience more predictable.

Privacy note: your shot day is saved only in your own browser. No account, no email, no data leaves your device.

How the tools fit together

You can always find all four under Tools in the menu, or on the tools page.

As always: these tools are informational, not medical advice. Eligibility, medication choice, and dosing are decisions for you and a licensed healthcare provider. If you don’t have one, our provider comparison covers telehealth options that can evaluate you within 24–48 hours.
